Did you ever wish Microsoft Outlook had just that little
extra grunt? Well now it does! Level 31 is a toolbar
which sits in Outlook and allows you to take the driver’s
seat and control your business processes.
The basic idea behind Level 31 is that most organisations
already use Microsoft Outlook. They’ve invested
a lot of time and money in it. The problem is, it just
doesn’t do everything people would like it to do.
Now it does… at least according to Level 31 creators,
Sydney company Innovate. In fact, they call it a “revolution
in business processes”. They claim it can do just
about everything except make your coffee!
But what does “just about everything” mean?
Well, it handles your document management. Microsoft
Word, Powerpoint, spreadsheets, faxes, phone calls,
file notes, paper files, email… All can be accessed,
reviewed, cross-referenced, and searched online and
from one place. They’re even categorised according
to the function they provide.
Level 31 also handles your workflow. You can use it
to generate tasks and reminders, and to streamline your
approval process.
Then there’s Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) with centralised contact information, comprehensive
records of previous communications, and easy-to-use
newsletter and mailing list management.
And that’s not all. It also acts as a knowledge
base, it provides company-wide standardised templates,
and you can access it when you’re away from the
office. You can even use it as a cheap and easy intranet!
