How did this start; why do this?
Motion pictures are my life. I'm more interested in screenwriting, but when I started film school, I knew I would have some production classes, so I needed to learn to use a camera. My dad gave me some of his old SLR's and in 2002, I held a still camera for the first time. It helped for my production classes and I become more interested in still photography. I shot for over a year, but lacked critiques of my 'work'. In February 2004, I found out about photoblogs, registered a domain, got sponsored by some kind businesses that I can't thank enough, and I was off. The site gives me discipline to go out and shoot everyday. I don't wish to be a photographer for a living, and I still consider myself an struggling amateur.

So how does the site work?
At some point throughout my day, I take a photo. Later that night, I upload the photos to my computer, choose the one I liked best, and post it on my site. I post at least one photo per day. If you want to see yesterday's shot, click on the 'previous' link located above the photo pages, or 'next' for the following day. Fairly simple, as everything is dated and in chronological order.

Who are you?
Name's Jessyel Ty Gonzalez. An odd name, often mistaken for a girl's, but I'm a guy. A 21 year-old struggling college student currently attending the University of Colorado at Boulder; my Junior year. I'm studying film, which (as mentioned) is my life's dream and love. I'm pursuing a career in screenwriting. I'm a Mexican-American who has lived in Denver, Colorado, USA for many years now. I have a beautiful and supportive girlfriend of four years. I'm the eldest of five kids; I'm stubborn, have social-anxiety disorder, suffer from depression, rarely drink, no drugs, am a Christian, love techno music, watch a film a day, and am never content with anything I ever do.
