While new sites are normally stuck in the Google sandbox, their link popularity (count) also seems to suffer (from all major search engines). I just ran the Link Popularity tool you offer (and have run others) and my link count is nothing near to what I actually have. At last count I have in excess of 160 links; however the link tools show the following: Google-9, Yahoo-35, MSN-10, and Teoma-0.
At the same time, using other SEO tools, my site is estimated to have a PR of 03 (after 2 months), but shows a zero in Google.
So, I guess what I'm saying is, Google and other search enginess not only seems to ignore new website, they actually do not represent them correctly.

Johnwb,
This site was born February 20th and had PR4 by April 20th or so (when google did their update).
Have you verified all your IBL's exist still? I assume you did it through reciprocals?
Also some IBLs may be completely discounted if coming from PR0 sites or sites that are from places like geocities or other personal or ISP provided home pages.
Continue building your IBL's and the next cycle of google page rank you will have success.
Did you read my article and others in the News & Articles section?

Latest PR just happened. You can try www.seochat.com and use their PR checker and link popularity check.

Google returned links count is always a long way out of date. They update just prior to a PR update and ot constantly like msn and yahoo. It's down to Google. Chart Music|Chart Music Forums|Enya
